Writing projects and information:

Erin Fitzgerald is a community arts enthusiast and writer of stories, songs, and snapshots. She recently completed a draft of her second full length musical stage play, InQuest, with support from the Louisville-based collective Derby City Playwrights.

Description: InQuest is a musical exploring themes of mental health, identity, and support - both within and outside of the context of crisis. The main character is Jay, and the play follows her experiences just before, during, and after an inpatient stay at a psychiatric hospital.

In July 2021, a staged reading was presented as part of the DCP New Plays Festival (season 6). That reading, which also includes multimedia presentations of the songs (with artwork from a related graphic memoir project) is available to view HERE

Good Grief - a Stage Play

This play was developed during the 2018-19 season of Derby City Playwrights (DCP), and culminated in a staged reading, as part of DCP’s New Play Festival in July 2019.

The play was then picked up by Looking for Lilith Theatre Company, to be presented as the spring production of their 2019-2020 season.

Information about that production can be found HERE

Since the pandemic put a PAUSE on the stage production, LFL decided to create a virtual production. It opened on March 19, 2021 - one year after the original opening date for the stage production.

The Trailer for the virtual production can be found HERE
